Antigone By Sophocles Directed by Janet Haley

A young woman named Antigone risks her life as she defies King Creon, and his government's laws. In the aftermath of her brothers’ bloody war, her brother Eteocles will be honored, but her brother Polyneices will be shamed and denied funeral rites. Sophocles’s drama from 441 BC pulses with resonance today, unfolding through a contemporary lens, as we witness a passionate individual's actions protest and defy obedience to government laws in the name of dignity, decency, and the human heart.
