The University of Michigan-Flint's production of the musical ORDINARY DAYS, will now perform in Fall 2020. Dates will be announced this spring.Set on the bustling streets of New York City, Ordinary Days tells the story of four average New Yorkers whose lives end up unexpectedly intertwined: Warren, an ever-optimistic, struggling artist who balances his own creative ambitions with cat-sitting for his jailed mentor; Deb, a frazzled and cynical grad student whose life is quickly becoming a thesis study in uncertainty; Jason, a romantic at heart, who cannot understand why his relationship with the woman he loves has stalled; and Claire, Jason's reluctant lover, held captive by an emotional wound from her past that she shares with no one. When Deb loses the notes to her graduate thesis, which is her most precious possession, she unknowingly starts a chain of events that turns the ordinary days of these four New Yorkers into something extraordinary. As these four characters flounder through all-too-familiar everyday obstacles, they slowly edge closer to connecting with each other—and to understanding that an ordinary event can have extraordinary effects.
